Shopify Domain Migration & SEO
The Client Came to us with a specific requirement as they were planning to Migrate their Opencart website to Shopify as the Shopify is quite easy to use CMS.
They are the leader in the Automobile industry and selling Bike Parts in India. They were doing really great with their opencart website and since they want their website more SEO-friendly and wanted to give a unique experience to the users, our Job was to Make the Migration Process smooth and to ensure we don’t loose too much SEO value
How We Work
We started with getting all their live pages, Google Analytics Data, Google Search Console Data and data from SEMRUSH and Ahrefs to ensure we are taking all the pages into the consideration.
Once we had all the Pages, we combined them and ensure to delete any duplicate values so that we had unique URLs from different data sources.
We started with the URL mapping from the live site to the staging site to ensure we redirect URLs properly to pass the SEO value to each page. We also ensured to take a backup of important files added Old site including Sitemap, Robots, Meta Data, and all the copies.
Once the URL mapping was ready and the staging site was ready to make live, we started with the Redirect Strategy and mark the website live which helped us to carry forward the SEO value to the new website
Once the site was ready, we started with a technical analysis to ensure everything migrate successfully. We also submitted the XML sitemap to the GSC and configured the Google Analytics Settings including Search Settings, Ecommerce Tracking and Goal tracking.
